London, February 25, 2025 – Solomon Islands Governor General, H.E. Sir David Tina Kapu, concluded a significant visit to London, where he had his inaugural audience with His Majesty King Charles III at Buckingham Palace. During the visit, King Charles III, the Head of State of Solomon Islands, conferred Knighthood upon Sir David Kapu.

To mark the occasion, H.E. Mr. Moses K. Mose, Solomon Islands’ High Commissioner to the UK, hosted a dinner in honor of the Governor General, Lady Salome Kapu, and their delegation. The visit reinforced the strong ties between Solomon Islands and the British Crown, highlighting the Governor General’s role as the King’s official representative in the country.
